Therapy for Teens and Adults in Redondo Beach

Trying to look calm while feeling overwhelmed inside is something many teens and young adults experience. You might believe you have to figure everything out on your own or hide how much you are struggling. In my practice in Redondo Beach, I offer therapy that challenges those beliefs. Together, we create space for you to stop pretending, speak honestly, and find new ways of moving forward with clarity and confidence.

How it works

Book an intro call

A common mistake is thinking the first session has to include every detail of your life. In reality, the first call is about comfort and trust. You can share only what feels right, and I listen closely so you leave knowing therapy can be a safe and supportive space.

Personalized, one-on-one sessions

Many people assume therapy follows a strict formula. Instead, I design each session around your needs. What you learn is that your goals guide the process, and therapy grows with you as your life changes.

Evidence-based therapeutic techniques

It is easy to believe that therapy is only about talking. What you discover with me is that we use evidence based methods such as EMDR, mindfulness, and somatic practices that actively change the way you experience stress, trauma, or anxiety.

FAQ about my counseling services

  • What is the best type of therapy for young adults and teenagers?

Therapy for young people works when it meets them as they are, not as they are expected to be. EMDR can help with trauma, ACT with flexibility and self-compassion, mindfulness with calming the body, and creative tools like journaling with expressing what words cannot capture. What matters most is that therapy is personalized.

  • Do you offer therapy in person? What about virtual? Which one is better?

I usually see clients in person because I value the depth of sharing space. Still, I offer virtual sessions for those who need flexibility. Both can be effective. If you are in Redondo Beach and able to come in person, you may enjoy the comfort of a private space for therapy.

  • Do you take insurance?

I am not in-network with insurance providers. If you have PPO coverage, you may qualify for partial reimbursement. I can provide superbills each month that you can submit to your insurance.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

Please cancel at least 24 hours in advance. If we cannot reschedule in the same week, I charge the full session fee.

  • Can we start out therapy every-other-week?

Starting weekly is important because it builds trust and helps us move forward faster. Every-other-week is possible later, once you feel more stable and we have already made progress.
