Therapy for Teens and Adults in Glendale

You might be sitting in your room scrolling through your phone, feeling the pressure of school or work deadlines, or noticing how hard it is to connect with friends or family even when you want to. These are the kinds of everyday struggles that so many teens and young adults in Glendale bring into therapy. My role is to offer a safe, supportive space where you can make sense of those experiences and learn new ways to handle them. With more than fourteen years of practice, I integrate trauma informed care, EMDR, and creative tools to help you feel more grounded and confident in who you are.

How it works

Book an intro call

Think of our first call as the first step in getting comfortable. You can share what feels important, like how school is overwhelming or how anxiety shows up at night. My goal is that you leave this conversation feeling like therapy can be a safe space where you do not have to carry everything alone.

Personalized, one-on-one sessions

No two weeks look the same in life, and therapy works the same way. One session might be about handling an argument at home, another about making choices for your future. I adapt to your pace and your needs so that therapy grows with you.

Evidence-based therapeutic techniques

Everyday stressors often feel impossible to handle on your own. Evidence based methods like EMDR, mindfulness, and somatic work give you practical ways to calm your body and shift old patterns. These tools help you face daily challenges with more strength and clarity.

FAQ about my counseling services

  • What is the best type of therapy for young adults and teenagers?

There is no universal best therapy for young people. Effective therapy is trauma informed and relational, and can include EMDR, ACT, mindfulness, or creative practices. Success comes from shaping therapy around the young person instead of forcing them into a mold.

  • Do you offer therapy in person? What about virtual? Which one is better?

In-person sessions create a strong sense of presence and connection. At the same time, I offer virtual therapy because it can be more accessible. If you live in Glendale, in person therapy gives you a private, calming space, while virtual is flexible and effective when needed.

  • Do you take insurance?

I do not bill insurance directly. If you have a PPO plan, you may get part of your fee reimbursed. I provide superbills for you to submit to your provider.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for 24 hours’ notice to cancel without charge. If rescheduling within the week is not possible, the full session fee applies.

  • Can we start out therapy every-other-week?

Weekly therapy is the best way to start because it helps us build a strong relationship. Every-other-week slows down that process. Later, once you are meeting your goals, we can consider a biweekly schedule.
