Therapy for Teens and Adults in San Marino
Finding the right therapist in San Marino can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to figure it out on your own. I offer trauma-informed, creative, and culturally responsive care for teens and young adults who are navigating anxiety, identity struggles, and the challenges of growing up. With more than 14 years of experience, I have created a safe, inclusive space where healing and growth can truly happen.
How it works
Book an intro call
When you schedule our first meeting, I see it as a chance to slow down together and begin building a real connection. I will invite you to share what feels comfortable about your life, your relationships, or the struggles you are facing. There is no expectation to go into the hardest parts right away. My goal is for you to feel at ease and to know that this is your space.
Personalized, one-on-one sessions
Every person comes in with unique needs, and I never use a one-size-fits-all approach. We will create a plan that reflects where you are now and where you would like to be. As your life changes, the plan can change too. I will always check in with you so that our sessions stay aligned with what truly matters to you.
Evidence-based therapeutic techniques
In our work, I blend methods that are both evidence-based and creative. That means you will have access to tools like EMDR, mindfulness practices, and somatic awareness, but also space for reflection, expression, and imagination. The mix allows you to develop practical skills for anxiety, depression, or trauma while also reconnecting with your inner strength and creativity.

FAQ about my counseling services
What is the best type of therapy for young adults and teenagers?
There is no single “best” therapy for young people. The right approach depends on their stage of life, cultural context, and emotional needs. Modalities like EMDR, ACT, mindfulness practices, and expressive arts can be very powerful, but what matters most is that the therapy feels personal and supportive, not generic.
Do you offer therapy in person? What about virtual? Which one is better?
I primarily work in person because I value the depth and immediacy of sitting together in the same space. That said, I also provide virtual therapy when it fits your schedule or distance. Both can be effective. If you live in San Marino or nearby, in person may help you feel more grounded.
Do you take insurance?
I am considered out-of-network. If you have PPO insurance, you may be reimbursed for part of your sessions. I can provide superbills each month to help you submit for reimbursement.
What is your cancellation policy?
I require 24 hours’ notice to cancel without charge. If something urgent comes up, I try to reschedule within the same week. Otherwise, the full session fee applies.
Can we start out therapy every-other-week?
Starting every other week slows down the process of building trust. I suggest beginning weekly so we can build a foundation. Later, once progress is made, biweekly sessions can work as maintenance.
