In January, the Eaton Fire devastated our community and forever changed the lives of so many around us. While several months have passed, the grief and rebuilding continue. In my work as a therapist serving adolescent girls from the area, I witness firsthand how much support is still needed—and how essential it is to show up for one another in tangible, lasting ways.
That’s why I’m highlighting the incredible work of Altadena Girls, a grassroots mutual aid group founded by a 14-year-old Altadena girl named Avery. What began as a pop-up offering free clothes, makeup, and community has blossomed into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit driven by teens and supported by adults. Their mission is rooted in care, connection, and mutual support—and now, they’re working toward opening a permanent space in Pasadena.
Let’s help make that happen.
To support this effort, I’m offering 10 of my hand-thrown pottery pieces—small vases and bowls—as thank-you gifts for those who donate. Every piece represents healing, resilience, and creativity—and every contribution helps Altadena Girls continue building their future.
How it works
